Elazar “Zari” Gal is an Israeli artist with a singular life story. Born in 1946, he has felt art coursing through his veins since childhood. After decades spent as an agronomist training farmers worldwide, his devotion to drawing and creativity never waned. In 2020, upon retiring, he returned to art full-time, dedicating himself to painting and sculpture and reigniting the spark of his youth.
Gal’s style blends classical inspiration with modern materials and techniques all his own. Recycled cardboard, polystyrene—even 3-D printing—regularly find their place in his studio, adding fresh texture and depth. The result is emotionally charged sculptures and paintings that merge form and surface in surprising ways, capturing the eye while touching the heart.
In recent years, Gal has exhibited in compelling group shows. Several exhibitions in 2023 and 2024 explored themes of hope and remembrance in the wake of the October 7 tragedy, offering viewers quiet moments of resilience and inspiration. You are warmly invited to wander through the gallery, connect with his artistic journey, and discover a world rich in emotion, imagination, and renewal.
